Page Tools.Anyone playing Divinity knows one thing: There're a lot of quests. In fact, you can see just how many by taking a quick peek at our page. With that in mind, we wanted to put together a small list of that are just too good to pass.
This might be due to their reward, or simply because they are worth seeing for the story or humor. This is less about the reward, and more about the journey. Found in Fort Joy, this quest begins with you speaking to the sad dog in town. It's not very long, but the poor pup has lost his love and needs someone to help him!. This quest is all about the reward. We highly suggest you can do it, not only for the stellar set of armor you obtain but also because the helmet acts as a Purging wand, something integral to the main plot.
Note that this quest is only truly worth doing if you have a Two-Handed Strength character, since that's the main stats that the set increases. The whole reason for doing this is less about the quest, but the item involved. Early on, you're tasked with finding a pair of gloves.
They are enchanted with, one of the most useful spells in the game. Since it's a permanent enchantment, this means any character you want can have as early as 30 minutes into the game. The uses for this are many, such as moving objects in the world, or removing enemies from your vicinity during combat. Want that darn Collar taken off?
Do the arena! This quest line, although tough, will result in you having your Source Collar removed far earlier than normal. It can be handy to have done and is simply nice, since it lets you equip necklaces once it's removed. Do be warned, the Magisters will all become hostile towards you if your collar is missing. This is a tough one, because it requires you to beat a very difficult fight in a cave. However, if you pull it off it will make the final boss battle in the Fort Joy region much easier. It also lets you not worry about the Purging Wands at all, so if you have no mages, or simply don't want to bother finding all the wands, do this quest instead and you can say goodbye to those pesky Shriekers.
This quest can begin shortly after reaching Reaper's Coast. It's very short, has a nice experience reward and is rather comical, in that horrifyingly tragic sort of way.
Being an Elf will make this quest a lot easier. Game of thrones rts. You'll begin this quest near Driftwood, although it ends up taking you around the local region a bit. It does require Pet Pal, but it's worth it. Surprisingly, this quest has a lot of experience points tied to it, and if you do the entire quest correctly, the father rooster will reward you handsomely with several items! It's also quite hilarious, who doesn't love demon chickens after all?. The Shadow Over Driftwood questline is an extremely valuable one.
It starts in the Driftwood area, but takes you all over. It also intersects a few other quests, making it great for knocking out several quests at once. It also has a ton of experience points associated with it, virtually guaranteeing you level up, if you can handle the many level 11+ battles. Definitely not one to skip over!. Found beneath Driftwood, this quest is very handy. Firstly, you get some stat points that you might not get otherwise.
Each character will also get experience points which is great. Lastly, you can steal several items of high value from the woman! It's a triple win!. Beginning in the Driftwood region, this quest has you travelling all over. It's a bit higher level (around level 12 to safely do) but it has numerous rewards along the way. You can end it at several points, but if you follow it through to completion, you will make a new ally, receive several items and perhaps doom the world?.
Pet Pal isn't a skill from a skill book. It's a talent you can spend a point to pick up. Look at the third tab on the character window (inventory, abilities, talents, traits).Quick refresher/walkthrough:. You get Attribute, Ability and Talent points as you gain levels. They are listed on the character sheet - press I.
Skills and Spells are learned form books. They are listed in the Skills window - press K. Traits are built by role-playing conversation (or gaming it if you want to min/max rather than role-play). They are listed on the character sheet - press IAttributes are the areas where your character is naturally superior or weak: Strength, Intelligence, Dexterity.
They affect what abilities you'll be good at.Abilities are things your character can get good at doing. These include roles like man-at-arms, scoundrel or witch; and also abilities like leadership, shield use or sneaking. They affect what skills and talents you can learn.Talents are small gifts that your character can pick up as you gain experience levels. Talents are all or nothing - you don't spend more points to get better at them. Some of them have prerequisites; some strong talents are balanced by a disability; some of them are just fun to play. Pet Pal - a talent - adds game content you otherwise miss, but you really only need one character to spend a point on it.Skills and Spells are specific special attacks, abilities or magic that characters with the right Ability can learn and perform. You learn all of these from skill/spellbooks that you can buy or craft (spells only).
You learn these once: they can get more effective as you increase your attributes and abilities.bTraits/ develop as you role-play - or just game - your character in conversation. They are small bonuses in off-setting pairs. If you're bold, you're a better leader; if you're cautious, you're better at sneaking.(On review: what kurausu said. Only long-winded.).
Ever since the start of gaming history, Role-Playing Games have always held a special place in gamers’ hearts. The focus on story, many different classes, races, armor sets, weapons, skills, and side stories have forced us into sinking thousands of hours into them; and one of the best series that represent the genre is the Divinity series.Since 2002, Divinity series has always set a standard in RPG genre with its games. But the last 2 entries were exceptionally good, those being the Original Sin. The latest addition, OS 2 is a masterpiece in almost every perspective and pays a great homage to the good old RPG games. It is deep, massive, story-driven, versatile and fun, but this does not mean that there are not any flaws or areas that can be improved. This is where the modding community came in. They range from simple quality of life changes to completely new classes, races, and overhauls.
If you are overwhelmed by the hundreds of mods this game has, fear no more for we have come forth and made a list of the best Divinity: Original Sin 2 mods out there. Hybrid Skills ExpandedOne of the cool features of Divinity 2 is that it lets you combine different skill books to create new ones. The problem is, the number of combination in the base game is not that high and not every combo you think that would work works. This is a mod that almost doubles the number of craftable skillbooks, by adding new hybrid spells with skill combinations that are not in the base game. Combining any two skill books will now yield a new spell.Download.2. Tempest Class (New Spear Skills)Spears in Divinity 2 are usually mediocre weapons and are not viable in most builds.
This mod adds a completely new class that is focused on using spears and also adds new spear based skills, changes all spears to do piercing damage instead of phsyical and makes spears a little more common. Great if you want to experience the game with a completely new class.Download3.
Free Pet PalPet Pal is one of the best skills in the game; it lets you talk to any animal in the game. These conversations are usually sources to many different jokes and quests. So you would be doing yourself a great disservice by not picking it. But such a great feature costs a skill point and this mod fixes that. This mod grants every party member the Pet Pal talent for free after character creation. It also grants an extra point to spend if you have already have Pet Pal.Download4. Crafting OverhaulAs one of the biggest mods for Divinity 2, Crafting Overhaul adds a ton of new content to the game such as 1600 new crafting recipes, more than 550 new items, new mechanics like armor dyeing, elemental swords, craftable new unique armors, weapons and accessories, Quality of Life additions like bags, chests, moveable crafting stations etc.
The full list of additions can be found in the mod’s page if you want to check them all out but be wary, it is long.Download5. Expanded Party SizeNative game only allows a party size of 4 characters, but if you want every companion in the gmae in your party, this mod cranks that number up to 6. Of course, since Divinity 2 is not originally designed that way, this causes some minor UI and dialogue errors but nothing major. Combat is also easier since you have%50 more people in your team so choosing a higher difficulty is advised.Download6. Resurrection Skill BookD2: OS is by no means an easy game. Your characters will die, a lot. In the native game, you need to revive your team mates with Resurrection scrolls which are one-use items.
This can quickly get frustrating since these scrolls are not that cheap and you have to run from vendor to vendor to get them. This simple mod adds a Resurrection skill book which solves this problem.Download7. Sim’s Day/Night Cycle + Dynamic WeatherFor an open world RPG, Divinity 2’s weather is pretty static. You won’t probably notice it while adventuring 7/24, but after trying this mod, you will never play the game without it. This mod creates a timer which keeps track of the time of day and adds a day-night cycle. It also adds 4 weather conditions, those being fog, rain, heavy rain, sunny.
Combat SneakThis simple mod makes sneaking actually viable and useful in combat by reducing the AP cost from 4 to 2. The native’s 4 AP cost was a little bit too expensive for it to be worth it, but with this mod, sneaking becomes usable.Download.9. Blood MageThis mod adds the Blood Mage class to the game which revolves around wounding yourself to become more powerful, which is a really cool concept in my opinion. You can conjure weapons and explosions using your own blood and damage your enemies with Lacerated status which pierces armor.Download10. Dragon KnightAnother and probably the coolest class mod is the Dragon Knight. Its base form is a balanced melee fighter.
But as you can understand from its name, this class can turn into a freaking dragon that can breathe fire, spit fireballs, fly, stomp enemies, stomp and terrify enemies. A must-try in my opinion.Download11. Crowley’s SupernaturalsIf you tried every base race in the game or simply want more options when starting out, Crowley’s Supernaturals mod adds 5 new supernatural races to the game, those being Fae, Nephilim, Source Witch, Vampire, Werewolf and Niffin. You can check out each race’s unique specifications and recommended classes in the mod page.Download12. Infinite Spirit VisionSpirit Vision is a skill in the game that lets you see and talk to spirits.
It is basically another form of Pet Pal in skill form. However, the problem is you have to manually use this skill every time you want to converse with spirits and the range is not that big and the duration is not long. So it is really easy to skip entire areas without using it, missing dialogues and quests.
This mod makes the duration infinite and doubles the range.Download13. JRavens GMToolkit II New Status Effects and EmotesThis huge mod adds hundreds of new objects to GM Mode from the campaign and creates completely new ones.
Divinity Original Sin 2 Pets
It includes new large customizable maps, placeable special effects for your maps, wandering animals & NPCs, new visual status FX to apply to characters and monsters and much more. It also makes default maps much larger by unlocking the camera and much more customizable. Plus, it includes several unreleased/unfinished maps by Larian Studios including two city maps, a large interior tavern and a swamp.Download.14. Let There Be Tooltips! This extremely simple but useful mod displays tooltips for 500+ objects, including crates, barrels, ingredients, junk, corpses and many more that did not show tooltips when highlighted either at all or with the highlight objects key/button. If you can interact with it in any way, be it picking it up, moving it, or searching its contents, you can now see what it is.
Is that long, thick cord that looks like a rope, really a rope? Can you pick it up? Can you move it? Does it have anything in it? With this mod, you will know.Download.So there they are, some of the Divinity 2 Original Sin best mods out there at the moment.
Even though this game has been out for only a year, the modding community has been very hard-working and passionate about the game and already produced hundreds of mods in every category. The game’s Game Master mode also lets people create entirely new campaigns, so expect to see a lot more in the future. Among all these free content, fixes and improvements, it is easy to get lost. To prevent that, we compiled this list and if it helped, let us know below!
Divinity: Original Sin 2 is. It’s massive, complex, and beautiful, but its many layers are riddled with kinks and bugs. Fortunately, the game’s modding community has dedicated itself to smoothing things out.Original Sin 2 has been out since last September, which has given modders time to do everything from paving over cracks to remoulding the game in their image. Here are the best of the thousands-strong bunch. Quality of life improvementsMidway through Original Sin 2, you gain the ability to scan for and talk to ghosts.
The only downside is that you have to do it manually, and you can only peel back the curtain between this world and the next within a certain range. This mod takes away the duration limit and extends Spirit Vision’s range.Original Sin 2's tutorial is by no means bad, but on subsequent playthroughs, it’s just a blockade between you and the good stuff.
This mod lets you skip it.No more manually identifying items after a character’s Loremaster stat is five or higher! Thank goodness. This mod displays tooltips for interactive objects that don’t otherwise get them, even when highlighted. Is that extremely barrel-looking, feeling, and tasting object really a barrel?
Now you know.Pet pal is a skill that makes Original Sin 2 a million times better by letting you talk to any animal in the game. Despite it being one of the few sources of surefire joy in a rapidly decaying world (and in the game), it costs a point in character creation by default. This mod grants the pet pal skill to all characters for free right at the start of the game.Wanna go fast? Now you can go fast. (This mod only changes animation speed, not combat stats.)My tombstone is going to read “lost his mind removing every random item that got auto-added to his skillbar in Divinity: Original Sin 2.” This mod disables that. Now I’ve gotta figure out something else to put on my tombstone.
OverhaulsFor a lot of Original Sin 2, crafting isn’t strictly necessary, feeling instead more like an overly-fiddly afterthought. This mod adds a whopping 1,600 new recipes, 550 new items, and new mechanics like elemental swords, craftable crafting stations, and armour dyeing. This mod tweaks the stats and effects of unique items so that they feel more special and powerful instead of, well, kind of interchangeable. For all the fearful whispering and concentration camp corralling that surrounds Original Sin 2's vaunted Source Magic, the actual Source abilities you gain access to end up being kind of anticlimactic. This mod adds apocalyptically powerful Source spells that let you rain down hellfire and not-very-nice ice on entire towns.
Divinity Original Sin 2
Be wary, however: they come with (slight) drawbacks.Adds a tonne of snazzy and/or ridiculous character customisation options. Finally, you can start the game with a bucket on your head!Reduces the AP cost for sneaking in combat, making mid-battle stealth a much more viable tactic.Allows for more than four members in your party, meaning that certain. Ill fates won’t befall characters who aren’t travelling with you. This does, however, pretty significantly alter the game’s balance, so consider cranking the difficulty a little.Adds a day/night cycle and weather effects to many areas of the game. This doesn’t really change as much as other overhaul mods, but it looks cool!Don’t feel like making up your party members’ minds for them in combat?
This mod grants you the option to put one or all of them on auto-pilot. You can also disable their pesky “free will” whenever you want, if things get too hairy. This mod makes gear scale differently so that you don’t constantly have to look for new gear after levelling. You can pick between a few different types of scaling for a feel that hopefully suits your tastes. Abilities and classesAdds abilities and options that allow you to play as one of the Divinity series’ most-vaunted mainstays: the Dragon Knight. Jump really high! Breathe fire!
Oh, and of course: transform into a gosh dang dragon. As seen in games like Dragon Age, this class revolves around sacrificing your own life to become more powerful. You can then transform your own blood into spears and explosions. A grand time for the whole bloody family.60 new skills that combine warfare attacks with elemental effects (like fire).A custom class that specialises in flying and healing (so basically, Mercy from Overwatch). This one also has a great backstory.
“OK, so I often play Divinity with my wife, who requested this class,” wrote mod maker Claivain. “She wanted a character who could fly around and heal, throwing spells with pretty sparkly effects. Oh, and also kick ass.” Apparently, his wife is quite pleased with the result.Adds 50 new skills that allow you to play as a lute-wielding bard or an item-cursing artificer.Lets you play as a Valkyrie from Norse mythology. Fly softly and carry a big spear. One of the more unique class mods out there, this one is built around pranking your enemies to death.
